African SRHR
Instruments Toolkit
How accountable are you? How do you hold others accountable? These essential questions confront those of us who engage in the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) field. Kofi Annan said, “Ignorance and prejudice are the handmaidens of propaganda. Our mission, therefore, is to confront ignorance with knowledge, bigotry with tolerance, and isolation with the outstretched hand of generosity.” KEEP READING

World Crumbled:
The Human Cost of
Inaction on Road Safety
Every 24 seconds, someone, somewhere in the world, will die as a result of a road traffic crash — 1.35 million people each year. Behind each of these individual tragedies is a story. The People’s Survey collected the experiences of citizens around the world to capture how the millions of fatal and nonfatal road traffic crashes affect individuals — the real and personal impacts on people’s lives. Africa - 2020
A critical aspect of the management of the COVID-19 pandemic in many African countries is whether there are districts or regions that are either entirely un-administered by the authorities or are under-administered, for a variety of reasons. PROJECTS

Accountability International has various projects which all aim to contribute to a world where there is accountability for the lives, human rights and wellbeing of all persons across all spheres of society. We do this by working with marginalised communities to actively take up their role as watchdogs by supporting their complete engagement with accountability and the necessary role of increasing transparency, promoting dialogue and supporting action as catalysts for positive change. We have a people first approach to our work, and as a think tank our projects all aim to be innovative and push the conversation in a new direction. Our work spans technical support, needs-based research, collaborations, participatory action research, advocacy and of course scorecards.
